allow me to introduce myself…

Hi! I’m Emily. I’m from Indianapolis, IN, where I first discovered my love for the performing arts while sitting in the audience of a dance recital. My 4-year-old self was immediately enamored and fidgeted throughout the entire show, insisting “I need to dance now!” Thankfully, Mom got me into class soon after (thanks Mom!) and I haven’t stopped dancing since. I have extensive training in ballet, jazz, theatre dance, commercial dance, contemporary, modern, lyrical, hip hop, and tap. When I was eight, I saw Wicked and naturally got bitten by the musical theatre bug. The rest is history! Performing is my biggest passion, and has been for as long as I can remember.

At age 18 I moved to NYC, and in the spring of 2022 I completed my third and final year at the Institute for American Musical Theatre (IAMT). While in school, I was involved in various developmental works, including a new play written by Emmy award winner Jill Twiss and pre-production of Broadway’s 2021 Company revival. Since graduating, I have worked professionally both in and out of New York City. I frequently assist choreographers Lizz Picini and Nicholas Cunningham.

Offstage, you can find me spending quality time with loved ones, reading a rom-com, eating an everything bagel (toasted with scallion cream cheese), or listening to Taylor Swift. I believe laughter is the best medicine and empathy is everything. I am excited to continue growing (as both an artist and a person), creating, and sharing my passion with others.
